Because we love clothing.

I love clothes. It starts with that feeling.
Good evening. This is cantáte’s Matsushima.
Today, we have an announcement about our staff recruitment.
Whether you regularly visit the shop or read our blog, we hope that today you will get to know cliché, which you usually see as a place to shop, just a little as a place to work.
cliché is looking for sales staff to work with us.
You love clothes, and when a particular piece catches your eye, you cannot help looking into it. As you wear something you bought again and again, you begin to notice qualities you missed at first. Then you want to tell someone about them.
If you have that kind of experience, I am sure you will also find it rewarding to introduce clothes to customers in the shop.
You may feel that the work would be difficult without sales experience or specialized knowledge, but you do not need to know everything from the start.
Touching the clothes, trying them on, and listening to their stories. Realizing, “So that’s why it has this shape,” or being surprised that the feel is different from what you expected. Gradually getting to know them in this way is also part of the enjoyment of this work.
Rather than trying to explain everything you have learned perfectly, we would like you to be able to talk about what you feel, saying, “This is what I like about it.” Whenever something is unclear, we can check it together as it comes up.
In addition to customer service, working at the shop involves inspecting arriving products, putting out new stock, taking photographs, posting on the blog and social media, managing the online store, and shipping orders.
Folding clothes, arranging shelves, and packing orders. Day-to-day work is, surprisingly, made up of accumulating these kinds of tasks.
Of course, there is the time spent in the shop, but there are also the moments when customers choose clothes through a screen and when they open a package after it arrives. There are more points of contact with customers than you might think.
People who love photography, people who enjoy writing, and people who like talking with others. I believe each person’s interests and strengths can also connect to the work of building the shop.
In customer service, we value the time spent listening to our customers just as much as talking about clothes.
What kinds of clothes do you usually wear? What are you interested in today? As we talk, a different piece from the one first picked up can sometimes feel just right.
When someone comes back later wearing something they bought here, or tells us, “I wear this all the time,” it makes us genuinely happy.
As we are a small shop, there will likely be many things we work through together as we consult with one another. Even if you feel unsure at first, we would be happy if you gradually came to know the shop and found your own way of contributing.
You love clothes and want to become involved in the work a little more deeply.
We look forward to meeting people like you.
We are currently recruiting full-time permanent employees. Sales experience is not required.
