EYEVAN began in 1972 with the concept of “wearable eyewear.” It earned high praise overseas and attracted attention from around the world. At the time, the craftsmen used their finest techniques to create what became known as the “EYEVAN CRAFT” series. In 2013, “EYEVAN 7285” was launched based on the designs and manufacturing methods of “EYEVAN CRAFT,” with the components disassembled and reconstructed out of a desire to make what they truly wanted to make.

Building on the craftsmanship passed down from that era, all planning, design, and manufacturing are carried out in Japan. The brand name 7285 was inspired by the products and concepts developed between EYEVAN’s founding in 1972 and its global debut in 1985, and was chosen to carry on that spirit and express respect.

Andy Warhol, the artist most admired by the designer. This “374” is,This model was created with the hope that “if he were still alive, he would wear them.”The approach involved drawing the design directly over his portraits taken in the 1980s and bringing it to life as is.

The temples are made using the traditional “core-lamination” method, in which two sheets of acetate are attached to a core and molded. From there,The sides of the temples are manually rounded using an old machine known as a “rotary file,” creating an irregular temple shape that cannot be achieved with the conventional core-lamination method.

These sunglasses feature original “4-curve lenses” made in Japan from glass. The lens color is formulated by blending metal particles and other materials, then, after melting, each lens is individually molded.
