EYEVAN began in 1972 with the concept of “eyewear you can wear.” It earned high praise overseas and attracted attention from around the world. Among its collections, the “EYEVAN CRAFT” series was created using the finest techniques of the artisans of the time. In 2013, “EYEVAN 7285” was launched with the desire to create the things they truly wanted to make, based on the design and manufacturing methods of “EYEVAN CRAFT,” while disassembling and reconstructing its components.
Carrying on the craftsmanship that has continued since that time, all planning, design, and manufacturing are carried out in Japan. The brand name 7285 was strongly influenced by the products and concepts from EYEVAN’s establishment in 1972 through its global debut in 1985. It was chosen to carry on that spirit and express the brand’s respect for its origins.

The rim has been made medium-width, while the temples are assembled with newly designed, slightly slimmer components. The hinges connecting the front and temples are the brand’s iconic parts, created specifically for this model: military hinges inspired by the zipper section of MA-1 jackets produced in the 1960s.
It features meticulously crafted details throughout, including 2+1 PIN hinges and the patented original bifurcated titanium nose pads.
The sunglasses use original Japanese-made glass “EYEVAN curve lenses,” created by mixing metal particles and other materials to formulate the color, then molding each lens individually after melting.
