10eyevan began in 2017.

Designed by Hirotaka Nakagawa, a designer on the same design team, these eyewear pieces embody designs and functionality that he considers purely beautiful, based on his own aesthetic sensibility and the concept of “beautiful tools.” Guided by the belief that “a beautiful tool is an assemblage of beautiful parts,” every component was carefully selected and considered, resulting in the creation of eyewear made from “10 special parts” after more than three years of development. 

Among the <Celluloid Collection>, which is distinguished by the hard texture and unique colors and character of celluloid, as well as meticulously crafted details such as parts made from 925 silver and mother-of-pearl, the ＜FAT RIM (thick rim)＞ stands out for its moderate volume and refined appearance.

The ＜FAT RIM (thick rim)＞ features rims with a moderate thickness compared with the conventional no.2 III.
Combined with the lustrous texture unique to celluloid, it adds a subtle presence to its intelligent impression.

At first glance, they are refined Wellington frames. However, a closer look reveals a subtle polygonal nuance in the contours, allowing classic and modern elements to coexist naturally when worn. Rather than making a statement through flamboyance, the design blends with the face while refining its contours. Instead of changing the wearer’s impression, these frames subtly bring out the wearer’s individuality.

The shell pads, which are also an iconic feature, are made of silver rather than mother-of-pearl in this model.

The balance of rugged silver against the lustrous texture of celluloid is another highlight.
