— Rope Dyed Linen Denim —
10oz linen denim made from 100% linen yarn dyed to create a lighter center using indigo rope dyeing.
While enjoying the distinctive fading and aging of denim, you can fully appreciate the coolness and crisp, textured hand unique to linen.
The warp yarns in the NOIR color use rope-dyed sulfur black, while sulfur black is also used for the weft yarns.
Careful attention is given to every step, from sizing the greige yarns through weaving, allowing the characteristic slubs of linen to appear naturally in the fabric.
Despite the substantial weight of 10oz, this material combines lightness and depth with fluidity and a natural drape.
This blouson was designed from the outset to make full use of the lightness and fluid drape of linen denim.
Less formal than a jacket, yet slightly beyond a shirt. The distance it occupies as a layering piece is intentionally left quite ambiguous.
The fabric is 10oz linen denim.
It has the characteristic look of denim, yet feels far from heavy when worn.
The slubs and wrinkles unique to linen appear as shading rather than sharpening the lines. A wash gives it a relaxed expression from the very beginning.
The shoulders and body are not overly sculpted, with a design based on straight lines.
The fabric naturally falls away from the body when worn, swaying quietly with movement. That sense of space is given priority.
The placket and pockets draw on the context of work jackets, while their proportions and placement have been adjusted to avoid an overly rough impression.
It can be worn as an extension of a shirt or as a lightweight jacket.
Because its purpose is not strictly defined, it is a piece that naturally adapts to the wearer's needs.
The more it is worn, the more wrinkles and changes in color build up, gradually giving the garment an expression of its own.
