— Suvin Gold / Crochet Knit “MILK” —
A solid-color MILK, created as a special order for cliché.
This crochet knit is made with Suvin Gold and hand-crocheted one piece at a time.
The material is Suvin cotton, an extra-long-staple cotton grown in southern India.
Among it, only the cotton harvested first is selected to create “Suvin Gold.” Its fibers are fine and long, giving it a smooth feel and natural luster despite being cotton.
The Suvin Gold is twisted into yarn, then hand-crocheted one piece at a time by artisans.
It takes approximately one week for a single artisan to complete one piece.
Unlike machine knitting, which produces an even finish, handcrafting leaves subtle variations in the stitches. These create the knit’s dimensional texture, along with the distinctive sheerness of crochet.
This time, to showcase the texture as naturally as possible, we finished it in a single MILK color, without adding patterns or contrasting colors.
The shadows of the stitches emerge within the soft white, while the skin and inner layer show through, creating an even more dimensional impression when worn.
At first glance, layering a knit over a T-shirt may seem hot, but it feels somewhat different in practice.
Because there is ample space between the stitches, air passes through easily, and air also circulates between the skin and the knit. It offers a strangely cool sensation, allowing you to feel the movement of the air more than when wearing a T-shirt alone.
The silhouette is one size.
As crochet is less stretchy than ordinary knits, the garment is given ample room throughout so it does not restrict the body’s movement.
It covers the skin while allowing the breeze to pass through.
