Hand Rever Chesterfield Coat-Alashan Cashmere〔MID NIGHT〕
A Chester coat finished with reversible construction.
Made entirely from Arashan cashmere obtained from goats living in western Inner Mongolia, China. The fine, white, lustrous undercoat that grows to protect them from the severe midwinter cold is considered the highest-quality cashmere.
To make the most of the material’s texture, it is carefully brushed and fulled repeatedly, then two pieces of fabric are sewn together, with an equal amount of turn-under applied to both fabrics from the seam—a method known as reversible construction.
In typical reversible construction, straight sections are usually blind-stitched by machine, but this luxurious piece has even the straight sections blind-stitched by hand.
The pockets are also blind-stitched by hand, and the buttons have been omitted from the pockets so that the hand-finished details stand out—a particularly appealing design feature.
This beautiful coat has a substantial, elegant drape while remaining lightweight and comfortable to wear.
