Wool Flannel Forestiere Jacket 〔NAVY〕

— Super 120’s Wool / Forestière Jacket —

A reimagining by cantáte of the “Forestière,” one of the jackets emblematic of Parisian ARNYS (アルニス).

While retaining the Forestière’s distinctive collar, pockets, and relaxed presence, we have reworked everything from the materials and construction to the internal structure.

The outer fabric is a twill made from Super 120’s wool.
After weaving, it is repeatedly fulled and napped over approximately two months, creating a plump, substantial feel and a richly dimensional appearance while retaining its suppleness.

The interior is not finished with a single lining throughout.
Three fabrics—cotton flannel, cotton-rayon, and a fabric made from cotton-silk spun yarns—are used selectively according to each area and its function.

At the collar and other details, we have placed fine, supple Entre Fino lamb suede.
Wool, cotton, silk, and suede—each with its own distinct texture—are layered and tailored to connect naturally within a single garment.

We have also incorporated extensive handwork into the construction and finishing that is almost entirely hidden from view.
Rather than refining only the finished appearance, we want the reason behind each construction choice to remain clear when the garment is turned inside out.

Rather than simply reproducing the perfected form of the Forestière, this jacket was made by unravelling its materials and construction, then reassembling them as a cantáte garment.
