Pile Double Half Coat 〔BLACK〕

A double-breasted Chester coat made from genuine pile Melton using British wool.

The fabric is woven with a firmly compact density while retaining substantial thickness and a rounded softness.
Despite its substantial weight and body, it feels surprisingly soft to the touch. Its distinctive texture is created through an extensive finishing process after weaving.

To create a beautifully defined pile, brushing and cutting are repeated over the course of approximately one to two months. Rather than raising the fibers all at once, they are brushed gradually, with the tips carefully evened out each time. This time-intensive process produces a fabric that is dense yet soft, with a richly dimensional appearance.

The silhouette is that of a double-breasted Chester coat.
Although it has a relaxed, generously proportioned form, the fabric’s inherent thickness and resilience prevent the shape from collapsing too much, preserving an elegant presence alongside its easy fit.

Genuine horn buttons are used.
Cotton cupra lines the body, while the sleeves are lined with cotton silk, with different materials selected even for the parts hidden from view.

Corduroy is also used inside the pockets.
It helps prevent a cold sensation when you put your hands in and also serves as a hand warmer.

What is visible from the outside is the soft pile and the outline of the generous coat.
Yet supporting its presence is the accumulation of carefully considered details: time-intensive fabric production and thoughtful choices in areas hidden from view.
