A crew-neck sweater knitted from wool with cashmere added.

The body is intentionally generous in width, while the length is slightly shorter. By adding volume horizontally and keeping the vertical proportions compact, it creates a rounded, relaxed silhouette that is not simply oversized.

Wool forms the base. A small amount of cashmere is added to give the knit a soft, subtly different texture from wool alone.

Fine fibers rise softly across the surface, making it gentle to the touch. At the same time, because the base is wool, it retains the strength required of a knit and the resilience to return toward its original shape after stretching with wear.

The shaping decreases are deliberately placed where they remain visible. Rather than adding lines as mere decoration, the structure itself—shaping the form by reducing stitches while knitting—is presented as part of the design.

V-shaped gussets are inserted under the arms to prevent the body from following the arms more than necessary as they move. It is designed not only to look relaxed, but also to feel unconfining when the body is in motion.

Knitwear stretches slightly with wear, and its nap changes as well. By brushing the fibers back into place each time and allowing the sweater to rest between wears, its shape gradually returns.

Rather than enjoying only the softness of a new garment, this is a crew-neck sweater to care for and live with for many years.
