A double-breasted Chesterfield coat made from genuine pile Melton using British wool.
The fabric is densely woven, while retaining substantial thickness and a softly rounded form. Although it has a rich, weighty feel, it is exceptionally soft to the touch. This distinctive character is created through an extended finishing process after weaving.
To create a beautiful, even pile, the fabric is repeatedly brushed and cut over approximately one to two months.
Rather than raising and evening the pile all at once, it is brushed little by little, with the tips carefully trimmed each time.
Repeating this process many times produces a pile with an even height—dense yet soft, with a sense of depth.
The silhouette is that of a double-breasted Chesterfield coat.
The garment is given generous volume throughout, creating a relaxed form that falls away from the body.
At the same time, the fabric’s thickness and resilience keep the outline from collapsing too much, preserving the refinement characteristic of a Chesterfield coat despite its relaxed proportions.
The buttons are made from genuine buffalo horn.
Cotton cupra is used for the body lining, while the sleeve lining is cotton silk. Materials are selected according to their respective purposes, including in areas hidden from view.
Corduroy is also used inside the pockets.
It reduces the chill when you place your hands inside, allowing the pockets to be used as hand warmers.
From the outside, what you see is the soft pile and the broad outline of the coat.
