Shrunken Nylon Flight Jacket 〔MARON〕

A flight jacket inspired by the MA-1, made from Taslan nylon.

The fabric has a matte, cotton-like appearance that tones down nylon’s characteristic sheen.
Because this is a military-inspired garment, we chose a slightly dry-textured fabric rather than sporty nylon.

It is constructed using the same fabric on both the outer and inner sides, a method known as “musha” construction.
Rather than simply adding a lining, the same Taslan nylon is layered twice, so the fabric’s appearance remains consistent whether viewed from the outside or inside.

The double layer creates a moderate thickness and firmness, while the layer of air between them also provides insulation.

The silhouette has enough room to wear a sweater underneath, while being carefully adjusted so it does not appear unnecessarily oversized.
The shoulders are moderately dropped, the sleeves are given ample volume, and the ribbed cuffs draw them in firmly to create a natural accumulation of fabric.

The front zipper uses YKK EXCELLA.
Against the matte nylon, the sheen of the polished metal serves as a subtle accent.

Retaining the MA-1’s rugged character, while making it a slightly quieter garment through the choice of fabric, proportions, and construction.

A nylon flight jacket that can also be worn as a set with the Baker Pants in the same fabric.
