10eyevan is an eyewear brand launched in 2017 by designer Hirotaka Nakagawa with the concept of “beautiful tools.”

Based on the idea that “a beautiful tool is an assemblage of beautiful parts,” each material and structural element is carefully examined, and each pair of glasses is constructed from “10 special parts” selected over a period of more than three years.

This model uses celluloid, known for its hard texture and distinctive luster, in a BOLD RIM (extra-thick rim).

By giving the rim even more thickness than the FAT RIM (thick rim), the presence of celluloid itself can be felt more strongly.

Rather than simply making it thicker, the temples were newly designed specifically for BOLD RIM to match the volume of the rim.
By carefully balancing the proportions from the front through to the temples, the frame achieves a natural continuity as a pair of glasses despite its extra-thick construction.

“no.1-Ⅲ BR” has a shape that sits between a Panto and a Wellington.
The soft curves of the Panto and the straight contours of the Wellington come together in a form that does not lean entirely toward either style. It retains a classic character while accommodating the strong presence of BOLD RIM.

At cliché, we deliberately selected the slightly smaller 43 size.

Rather than wearing a large pair of thick celluloid frames, keeping them compact on the face preserves the presence of BOLD RIM while creating a more classic appearance.

Even when worn with a suit, jacket, or slacks, the glasses do not stand out on their own.
We chose this size so that they can also be paired naturally with refined styles such as a jacket-and-trousers look.

The details include 10eyevan's signature β-titanium Torx screws, titanium hinges, and 925 sterling silver end tips.

Silver, rather than natural shell, is also used for the nose pads on this model.
Combining hard silver with glossy, dimensional celluloid creates a subtle sense of tension within the frame's substantial volume.

Extra-thick, but not oversized.

By containing the strength of BOLD RIM within a 43-size frame, this pair blends naturally with classic clothing.
