10eyevan is an eyewear brand launched in 2017 by designer Hirotaka Nakagawa under the concept of “beautiful tools.”

Based on the belief that “a beautiful tool is an assembly of beautiful parts,” each material and structural detail is carefully considered, and a pair of glasses is constructed from “10 special parts” selected over more than three years.

This model features a BOLD RIM, crafted from celluloid with a hard, distinctive texture and unique luster.

By giving the rims even greater thickness than the FAT RIM, the presence of celluloid itself can be felt more strongly.

Rather than simply making the frame thicker, the temples were newly designed specifically for the BOLD RIM to complement the volume of the rims.
By carefully balancing the proportions from the front through to the temples, the frame achieves a natural, cohesive balance as a pair of glasses despite its bold thickness.

The “no.1-Ⅲ BR” has a shape that falls between a Panto and a Wellington.
The Panto’s soft curves and the Wellington’s linear contours come together in a form that does not lean entirely toward either style, retaining a classic character while accommodating the BOLD RIM’s strong presence.

The details include the β-titanium Torx screws emblematic of 10eyevan, titanium hinges, and 925 sterling silver end tips.

Silver is also used for the nose pads on this model instead of natural shell.
Hard silver is set against the glossy, richly dimensional celluloid. By layering the textures of these contrasting materials, a subtle sense of tension is created within the voluminous frame.

Rather than toning down the thickness, the BOLD RIM is made to let you fully appreciate it.
It is crafted so that even the luster and depth of color within the celluloid can be clearly seen.
