— ANNONAY Calf Leather / Double Riders Jacket —

A double riders jacket based on British style.

It is made from calf leather produced by ANNONAY, one of France’s renowned tanneries.
With its fine grain, smooth surface, and supple hand, this leather has a substantial presence while readily conforming to the body from the very beginning of wear.

Approximately two calf hides are used for this jacket.

Typically, leather garments are made by dividing the leather into smaller pieces according to the hide’s size, then joining them together as the garment is constructed.
For this jacket, the leather is cut into large panels wherever possible, much like woven garments, minimizing unnecessary piecing.

Doing so requires selecting hides that match not only in size, but also in color and texture.
Rather than prioritizing efficient use of the leather, the construction prioritizes the beauty of the broad surfaces once the jacket is complete.

The materials used inside also differ slightly from those found in typical leather garments.
The body is lined with back-satin gabardine, a fabric suitable even for use as a coat’s outer material. The sleeves are lined with a fabric made from raw cotton yarn, with different materials chosen even for areas hidden from view.

The leather is soft from the start, but this jacket becomes even more interesting once it has been worn in.

Bending the arms creates creases at the elbows, while the back gradually stretches in response to the body’s movements.
Areas that are touched frequently develop a sheen, and subtle variations in tone emerge across the surface of the leather.

The color is NOIR.

A deep black that absorbs light, paired with the sheen that appears in places as the jacket is worn.
Precisely because it is a single color, changes in the calf leather itself—such as creasing and luster—are clearly visible.

Available in sizes 44, 46, and 48, as well as size 0.

Size 0 has a special balance, with a wider body and added volume in the sleeves than the standard sizes.
It accommodates layers ranging from a hoodie to a heavy sweater, allowing the riders jacket to be worn not merely as a jacket, but as outerwear in the depths of winter.

Rather than simply wearing finished leather, you complete the leather by wearing it.

A double riders jacket that becomes even more compelling as creases form, the leather conforms to the body, and a sheen emerges within the NOIR.
