This is a substantial 100% cotton canvas made by densely weaving thick cotton yarn.
It has a solid presence from the outset, with no lack of substance in either appearance or texture.
At the same time, it is by no means a material that resists abrasion. As it is used, the color fades, the edges soften, and its character changes over time.
Rather than a fabric designed to maintain uniform beauty, it is a material intended to develop its character through wear and aging.
This is canvas in which traces of time quietly remain within its ruggedness.
When designed for everyday use, what this size needed was “room” and “ease.”
It does not feel cramped even when carrying documents or a change of clothes, while on lighter days, its size does not overwhelm everything else.
It should not feel overly heavy the moment you pick it up, yet its contents should settle comfortably inside. We sought that balance.
We added a rugged-looking zipper at the opening.
