A Chesterfield coat made from Super 120’s wool using hand-finished reversible construction.

The fabric is made from ultra-fine Super 120’s wool.
Through repeated, careful brushing and fulling, it retains the smoothness of fine wool while developing a full, soft texture.

The coat is constructed using reversible sewing, treating two layers of fabric as one.

The fabric is opened out and the seam allowances are enclosed inside. By applying an equal amount of turn of cloth to both sides, the construction creates a soft silhouette with no visible sense of seam allowances from the outside.

Unlike conventional reversible construction, where even straight sections are often finished by machine, the straight sections of this coat are hand-stitched.
By minimizing rigid seams, the fabric’s natural softness and drape remain unobstructed.

The pockets are also hand-stitched in place, one by one.
To let this handwork appear as naturally as possible, the pockets are intentionally left without buttons.

Rather than adding decoration, the construction itself is presented as the design.
The quiet stitches visible from the outside are another part of the coat’s character.

Once worn, it feels remarkably light for its generous proportions.
At the same time, the ample use of fabric gives it a substantial presence when standing, while movement creates a broad, slow drape extending all the way to the hem.

Rather than reducing the amount of fabric to make it lighter, the coat is made comfortable to wear through its construction.
