Hand Rever French Blouson 〔C/GRAY〕

A blouson based on French workwear, crafted using reversible construction.

Details such as the four patch pockets arranged across the front retain the unpretentious character of workwear in the garment’s form itself.
By combining Super 120’s wool with reversible construction, we have transformed a rugged, workwear-inspired piece into something with a quieter, more refined presence.

The fabric is carefully brushed and fulled repeatedly, drawing out the softness and smoothness inherent to Super 120’s wool.

It is constructed using reversible sewing, treating two layers of fabric as one.
By opening the seam allowances and applying an equal amount of turn of cloth to both sides of the fabric, the presence of the seam allowances is minimized, allowing the fabric’s natural softness and drape to take center stage.

In this blouson, even the straight sections that are often handled by machine in conventional reversible construction are hand-finished with whipstitching.
The four patch pockets on the front are also sewn on by hand, one at a time.

To leave this handwork visible, we deliberately chose not to add buttons to the pockets.
Rather than adding decoration, the construction itself is allowed to serve as the design.

Though based on workwear, the fabric is soft to the touch, while the construction is as delicate as that of dresswear.
