Horsehide made from European hides and chrome-tanned by a tannery in Himeji. After dyeing, it is treated with almost no pigment or heavy coating, intentionally preserving the leather's natural scratches and wrinkles.
While hides from three-year-old horses are normally used, this material deliberately selects hides from two-year-old horses.
Despite being chrome-tanned, it prioritizes a fine-grained, supple texture.
Particular attention was also paid to the character of the black. After infusing the leather with oil, it is buffed to bring out rich depth and a natural sheen, creating an expressive leather with plenty of character.
This is thick, dense horsehide.
This is not leather designed to be lightweight or easy to wear.
It has a little tension at first, and when you put your arms through it, you can clearly feel the presence of the leather. But it is not unpleasantly stiff.
Fine wrinkles form with every movement, and the leather gradually develops more character.
