A flight jacket crafted from Taslan nylon, inspired by the MA-1.

The fabric has a matte, cotton-like appearance that tones down nylon’s characteristic sheen.
Rather than the smooth look typical of synthetic fibers, its slightly dry touch allows it to blend naturally with the military-inspired design.

It is made using the same fabric for both the outer and inner layers, a construction known as “musō仕立て.”

Instead of adding a conventional lining, the same Taslan nylon is layered twice, so the fabric’s appearance remains consistent whether viewed from the outside or inside.
The double layer creates a moderate degree of thickness and structure, while the air pocket between the layers also enhances warmth.

The silhouette has enough room to wear a sweater underneath, while being refined so it does not appear unnecessarily oversized.

The shoulders are moderately dropped, while the sleeves are given ample volume.
Drawing in that volume with ribbed cuffs creates a natural drape at the sleeves and forms the rounded outline characteristic of the MA-1.

The front zipper is an EXCELLA by YKK.
Its polished metallic sheen provides a subtle accent against the matte Taslan nylon.

While retaining the ruggedness of the MA-1, the texture, proportions, and construction make it a quieter garment.

This flight jacket can also be worn as a set-up with the Baker Pants in the same fabric.
