A reimagining of the “Forestière,” one of the jackets emblematic of Parisian ARNYS, interpreted by cantáte.

ARNYS was once described as “ARNYS on the Left Bank, Hermès on the Right Bank.”
The Forestière retains the elegance of a tailored jacket while having a freer character and a distinctive presence that is somehow closer to an outer layer.

The outer fabric uses silk for the warp and French linen for the weft.

By intentionally avoiding an overly dense weave and weaving it loosely, the fabric is finished without being made rigid or fixed.
The smoothness and natural sheen of silk meet the dry texture and lightness of linen, creating a soft drape as it moves.

Fine, supple Entre Fino lamb suede is used for the underside of the collar, buttonholes, pocket piping, and elbow patches.

Rather than displaying leather across the entire garment, it is placed so that it reveals itself only subtly through movement—when the collar is turned up or a hand slips into a pocket.
By adding the texture of suede only in select details to the light silk-and-linen fabric, the jacket gains depth.

The cuffs can be turned back when worn.
Worn as is, it reads as a quiet, single-color jacket; turned back, the inner color appears, creating a two-tone effect.

It can be worn neatly, but it also welcomes a more relaxed styling.

Rather than reproducing an old French Forestière as it was, this jacket uses the lightness of silk and linen to create a piece that can be naturally thrown on in everyday life today.
