— Mohair / Panel Cardigan —
A mohair cardigan that we continue to produce as a staple, exploring different colors and materials.
This time, it features a panel design in which the colors appear to shift gradually.
Rather than simply switching from one color to another, the colors are arranged so that adjacent shades flow into one another like a gradient, giving depth to the relaxed silhouette of the cardigan.
In conventional mohair knitwear, synthetic fibers are sometimes blended in to improve durability or production efficiency, reducing the proportion of mohair.
This cardigan uses no synthetic fibers and is made generously with mohair.
Taking full advantage of mohair’s inherent lightness and soft, lofty fibers, it has been finished with a fluffy texture that seems to hold air.
This knit also gradually develops a changing character with wear.
It has a soft, lofty texture from the start, but as it is worn, the fibers bloom further and the boundaries between the colors gradually become less distinct.
As the panelled color arrangement overlaps with the mohair’s soft fibers, it develops into a gentler gradient than when first worn.
At the same time, the fibers are resistant to shedding, minimizing as much as possible the fiber transfer onto inner layers often associated with mohair knitwear.
The silhouette is one size.
With ample room throughout, it can be worn over a T-shirt or shirt, and as the temperature drops, layered over knitwear as well.
The colors are clearly switched, yet their boundaries gradually become less distinct.
A mohair cardigan whose fibers develop with wear, making even the color arrangement appear softer over time.
