WWⅡ T-Back Jacket（VINTAGE WASH）
— Reconstructed 1950s-style Denim —
This garment uses denim fabric reconstructed from the perspective of cantáte, based on 1950s LEVI’S 501XX.
While retaining the rugged character of the era, the warp yarn tension and count have been adjusted with summer wear in mind.
It retains the substantial weight of true denim while offering a dry, lightweight feel against the skin.
The black denim is sulfur-dyed, including the weft yarns.
Even as the color fades, it develops a rich, dimensional character reminiscent of vintage denim rather than becoming monotonous.
This is a new proposition for a signature cantáte fabric, combining tradition and innovation.
The design is a denim jacket based on the 1940s 1st type.
Classic details such as the front pleats, single pocket, and rear cinch back are faithfully carried over,
while the silhouette has been reconstructed to suit contemporary tastes.
The treatment is inspired by the natural aging of a garment that has been thoroughly worn for one to two years.
By keeping the fading restrained, we aimed for a piece that, while new, already feels as though it has settled naturally onto the body.
It offers a feeling slightly different from the pleasure of breaking in denim from scratch:
the sense of starting just one step ahead.
A piece for those who want to enjoy denim’s evolving character in a more immediate way.
