Atto Vannucci is a tie brand created by Sevenfold Co., founded in Florence, Italy, in 2011 by Kenji Kaga.
This is a regimental tie custom-made by cliché for Atto Vannucci.
The blade features classic regimental stripes, while the narrow end is made from solid-colored fabric.
Once tied, it looks like an entirely conventional regimental tie at first glance.
But when you take off your jacket or the narrow end happens to peek out, the difference reveals itself.
Precisely because it is a classic piece, we chose not to alter it dramatically, leaving just a subtle sense of something unexpected.
Ties are typically made by joining three pieces of fabric, but this tie consists of two parts.
While switching the narrow end to a solid fabric, we changed the construction itself so that no unnecessary joining stitches appear on the front of the solid section.
It is constructed using the Quattro Pieghe technique.
By folding the fabric into four layers and inserting an interlining, the shape is stabilized, creating a refined knot and a moderate amount of volume when tied.
Made from 100% silk.
Woven as an homage to Japanese kimono fabric, it has an expression that feels somehow nostalgic beneath the luster of the silk.
From the front, it is a classic regimental tie.
From the reverse, it is just slightly out of the ordinary.
This is a tie made for enjoying precisely that degree of difference.
