EYEVAN was launched in 1972 with the concept of “eyewear to wear.”

Among its collections, EYEVAN 7285 was born in 2013 by dismantling and reassembling the components, based on the designs and manufacturing methods of “EYEVAN CRAFT,” which gave form to what the craftspeople of the time truly wanted to create using their advanced skills.

Everything from planning and design to manufacturing is carried out in Japan.
The brand name “7285” was chosen as a tribute to the products and philosophy spanning from 1972, when EYEVAN was founded, to 1985, when it expanded worldwide.

EYEVAN 7285 “385.”

This new shape is derived from the “349,” known for its distinctive, sharply defined form throughout.

Its design draws on eyewear created by a Japanese brand in the early 2000s.
Rather than simply recreating the atmosphere of that era, the contours, polishing, and even the smallest components have been reworked to create it as a contemporary EYEVAN 7285 design.

Its defining features are the beautifully lustrous surface and the sharply raised edges of the frame.

The frames are polished individually by hand by craftspeople, taking more than five times as long as a standard finish.
This process does more than simply add luster to the surface: the sharp contours are preserved throughout polishing. As a result, the sheen of the surfaces catching the light and the shading along the edges emerge with striking clarity.

The hinges use EYEVAN 7285’s original 1PIN construction.
The pin is made of K10 gold, combining a different material even in this small functional component.

The sunglasses use the original glass “EYEVAN CURVE LENS,” developed jointly with the manufacturer, including the formulation of its color.

Rather than faithfully reproducing vintage eyewear, new frames are created with contemporary craftspeople and technology, taking designs from the past as their starting point.

385 is a model in which this philosophy is expressed throughout, from the contours of the frame to its smallest components.

※The product includes a dedicated glasses case and cleaner.
