Hand-Reversed Wool Flannel Jacket〔NAVY〕

A jacket made from flannel woven with ultra-fine Super 120’s wool, finished using a double-faced construction.

The linking threads connecting the two layers of fabric are carefully cut apart with a cutter, then the opened fabric is folded inward and hand-stitched, one stitch at a time.

The seam allowances are kept hidden, allowing the two layers of fabric to be constructed as one.
It requires considerable time and effort, but because the fabric is not fixed with rigid seams, the softness and drape of the Super 120’s wool can be preserved in full.

Nor are interlinings, shoulder pads, or other auxiliary materials used to create the shape of a conventional tailored jacket.

Rather than correcting the body’s contours with interlinings or padding, the shape is created through the fabric itself and the pattern.
The result has the outline of a jacket, yet when worn, it follows the body with a natural roundedness and has a lightness close to that of a cardigan.

Worn over a cut-and-sew top or denim, it does not look stiff; paired with slacks, it presents as a proper jacket.

It looks structured, yet feels soft to wear.
That difference between appearance and comfort is also unique to a double-faced construction.
