10eyevan is an eyewear brand launched in 2017 by designer Hirotaka Nakagawa under the concept of “beautiful tools.”

Based on the idea that “a beautiful tool is an assemblage of beautiful parts,” every detail has been reconsidered, down to the individual screw, and each pair of glasses is constructed from “10 special parts” carefully selected over more than three years.

The nose pads are shell pads carved from natural shell.
The hinges are shell-shaped, inspired by seashells, while the screws are hexagram-shaped β-titanium Torx screws designed to resist loosening.

Lightweight, highly elastic β-titanium is also used for the temples, while titanium is selected for details such as the rims, bridge, and split nose bridge according to the function of each component.
925 sterling silver balancers are added to the temple ends, serving not only as decoration but also to fine-tune the weight balance when worn.

The lenses are 10eyevan’s original two-base polarized lenses.
The shallow curve naturally highlights the frame’s delicate lines, while the polarization reduces reflected light and glare.

Screws, pads, hinges, and temple ends.
Viewed as part of the glasses as a whole, each is a very small component.

Yet each one has a reason for its material and a reason for its form.
Rather than designing only the visible parts, a pair of glasses is created through the accumulation of small components.

This pair gives tangible form to 10eyevan’s guiding concept of “beautiful tools.”
