10eyevan is an eyewear brand launched in 2017 by designer Hirotaka Nakagawa, based on the concept of “beautiful tools.”

Guided by the belief that “a beautiful tool is an assemblage of beautiful parts,” the brand reexamines every material and structure, down to a single screw, and constructs each pair of glasses from “10 special parts” carefully selected over more than three years.

The components include shell pads carved from natural shell, β-titanium Torx screws and temples, titanium rims and bridge, and an 18-karat gold or silver balancer that fine-tunes the weight balance when worn.

These parts are beautiful not merely as decoration; each has a clear functional reason for being there.
Through the accumulation of these decisions, 10eyevan creates a single “beautiful tool.”

NO.5 is a round frame with softly curving lines.

Its fine, delicate GOLD metal frame is paired with pale PURPLE lenses.
Although the shape is a classic round, the slender frame lines give it a light impression without making too strong a statement on the face.

The details include hexagram-shaped β-titanium Torx screws and shell pads made from natural shell.
A 925 sterling silver balancer is placed at the temple ends, considered not only for its visual beauty but also for the weight balance when worn.

The lenses are 10eyevan’s original 2-base-curve polarized lenses.
The shallow curve preserves the delicate lines of the frame, while the polarization reduces reflected light and glare.

A classic round shape, paired with GOLD and pale PURPLE.

Rather than dramatically altering the shape, NO.5 gives classic glasses a lighter feel through the slender lines and color combination.
