Washed Linen Denim Chore Blouson 〔NOIR〕
— Rope Dyed Linen Denim —
10oz linen denim made from 100% linen yarn, rope-dyed with indigo to create a lighter center.
While allowing you to enjoy the distinctive fading and aging of denim, it offers the refreshing coolness and crisp, textured hand unique to linen.
The warp yarn in the NOIR color uses rope-dyed sulfur black, while the weft yarn is also sulfur black.
Considerable care is taken throughout the process, from sizing the greige yarn to weaving, allowing the natural slubs characteristic of linen to emerge across the surface.
Although it has the substantial weight of 10oz denim, this fabric has a soft drape and natural fluidity, combining lightness with depth.
This blouson began with a design that preserves the lightness and drape of linen denim in their original form.
Less formal than a jacket, yet slightly more outerwear-like than a shirt, its place as a layering piece is intentionally left rather undefined.
The fabric is 10oz linen denim.
It has the characteristic look of denim, without feeling heavy when worn.
The slubs and wrinkles unique to linen appear as subtle shading rather than pronounced lines. A wash gives it a relaxed, effortless character from the outset.
The shoulders and body are not made overly sculptural, with a design based primarily on straight lines.
The fabric naturally falls away from the body when worn, moving quietly with every gesture. That sense of space is given priority.
The front placket and pockets draw from the context of work jackets, while their proportions and placement are carefully adjusted to avoid an overly rugged appearance.
It works equally well as an extension of a shirt or as a lightweight jacket.
Precisely because it is not confined to a single purpose, this piece naturally adapts to the wearer’s needs.
The more it is worn, the more wrinkles and shifts in color accumulate, gradually giving the garment a character of its own.
