WW II T-Back Jacket 〔BLACK〕
— Reconstructed 1950s-style Denim —
This denim fabric was reconstructed from a cantáte perspective based on 1950s LEVI’S 501XX denim.
Taking the atmosphere of the period into account, the warp yarn tension and count have been adjusted.
It retains the distinctive presence of denim while offering a dry, lightweight feel against the skin.
while the design is based on the S506XXE, commonly known as the “War Model.”
The “T-back” construction, which at the time existed only in larger sizes, has been deliberately adopted,
Details unique to the original, such as the center back seam and cinch back, have been carefully reconstructed.
The slightly meandering stitching remaining on the collar and the box stitching that differs from left to right are also distinctive features of this jacket.
They may appear accidental at first glance, but each one is intentional.
Rather than mass-produced uniformity, it incorporates the “variation” and “incongruity” found in vintage pieces as deliberate design elements.
while this version comes in a one-wash finish.
The fabric’s stiffness eases just enough, making it easy to settle into the body from the start,
it strikes a balance that lets you fully enjoy how it will develop with wear over time.
Rather than simply tracing the atmosphere of vintage clothing,
It is designed to work as a garment for today.
This denim jacket quietly embodies cantáte’s distinctive character.
