Sharpness and roundness.

New 26AW arrivals have gradually begun coming into cliché.
The hot days have continued every day, but strangely, more customers have been saying, “I’m starting to think about fall and winter clothes.” Honestly, it may seem a little early to be looking at fall and winter clothing in this heat. But that is the mysterious thing about every season, isn’t it?
Even though it is hot, you start wanting fall and winter clothes.
I understand that feeling very well myself.
Looking over the items that arrived this time, something occurred to me.
Clothing is not necessarily at its best the moment you buy it.
Wear it, wash it, and wear it again.
By spending time with a piece in that way, a character that was not there at first gradually begins to emerge.
I think that is one of the pleasures of clothing as well.
Among the 26AW arrivals this time, the piece I felt would be especially enjoyable to watch change was this printed T-shirt.
Based on that “proper T-shirt,” we used a cracked print on the front and back. It can look like the logo of a hip-hop group, or perhaps evoke a certain dreamland.
With wear, the print gradually changes in character, developing into a piece that is uniquely yours.

“One is sharpness, the other is roundness.”
That was the impression I had when I first saw this print.
When new, the cracked print and its color scheme give it a distinctly sharp air.
But the more this print is worn, the more its character gradually changes and settles into the wearer’s own atmosphere.
As the edges soften and it gradually takes on a rounded character.
That is why this T-shirt has no final destination called “complete.”
After years of wear, it should show you a character completely different from what it has now.
The sharpness you feel now will gradually become roundness over time.
That transformation is also part of the pleasure of owning this piece.
“One is sharpness, the other is roundness.”
When I first saw this print, the first thing I felt was “sharpness.”
The lettering has no outline or decoration. The words alone are placed large at the front and back, and their decisiveness comes across directly.
A presence born from not adding anything unnecessary.
I felt that atmosphere as “sharpness.”
“The other is roundness.”
This one is a little different from the previous design.
Together with the lettering and the body’s color, it gave me a soft atmosphere, as though the tension had eased from my shoulders.
I found myself wanting to describe that impression as “roundness.”
Of course, I do not expect the impression I have now to remain unchanged forever.
Just as clothing changes in character over time, the impression this print gives you will surely change little by little as well.
The sharpness you feel when it is new gradually softens through wear, taking on a rounded quality.
And within that rounded character, a presence begins to emerge that was not there when the piece was new.
When I imagine that transformation, I want to see for myself how they look after being worn in.
Before you know it, you may find yourself reaching for one more, and then another.
