Hunter Ring 〈K20〉
A substantial ring made using K20.
Although the form has a solid sense of volume, the surface is finished with a subdued matte texture.
Rather than reflecting light intensely, it is finished to create soft shading within the deep yellow characteristic of K20.
The exterior has a simple appearance with restrained decoration.
Inside the ring, normally hidden from view by the finger, fine engraving has been added in the same manner as on “ANGEL” and “KNIGHT.”
Depicted is a moonlit night with trees growing thickly and several deer standing within it.
In contrast to the powerful, austere form of the exterior, a quiet forest scene unfolds on the inside.
By engraving a detailed landscape in a place that disappears from view once worn, this ring possesses two entirely different expressions within a single form.
The name HUNTER was inspired by the stories of Ursula K. Le Guin.
A deer is not merely something to be hunted; it reveals itself before the hunter of its own accord.
Those who do not understand this are not hunters in the true sense.
From this idea, the scene of the deer engraved inside expresses not only the strength to bring down prey, but also reverence for nature and life.
