— 10oz Selvedge Denim —
Made from lightweight 10oz selvedge denim.
The warp uses rope-dyed indigo and the weft is gray, creating a nuanced, dimensional tone within a lightweight fabric.
For the black version, sulfur-dyed black is used for the warp and off-white for the weft, creating a look without a sense of heaviness.
While retaining a moderate degree of structure, the fabric develops natural wear patterns and fading through repeated wear and washing,
offering a light, refined evolution over time unlike that of heavyweight denim.
At first glance, they appear to be a pair of authentic painter pants.
But look closely and you will notice overlapping stitches and side seam construction visible on the outside,
with details throughout that might reasonably make you wonder, “Wait, are these B-grade?”
To expose the selvedge, which would normally be hidden,
we deliberately removed the folder from the lapped seam during sewing.
It is a design that challenges the factory, but fully aware of that,
we added a cantáte-like twist by finishing all 100 pairs in a deliberately “B-grade” manner.
The zipper is a vintage-inspired bell-shaped TALON.
The silhouette features a deeper rise and a straight leg that falls cleanly and fully.
Rolling them up to reveal the selvedge is another way to enjoy these pants.
“Where did you find those vintage pants?”
If someone asks, be sure to answer proudly.
They look like vintage clothing, yet exist nowhere else.
