RYTHME BOLD

A SILVER 950 bangle inspired by a whale’s rib bone.

Against its softly curving line, one side retains a sharply rising ridge.
An angular surface and a rounded surface coexist within a single outline, creating an organic form.

BOLD is the model that expresses this form with substantial thickness and volume.

Its width and thickness allow broad reflections of light across the soft curves, while a fine, intense line of light runs along the sharp ridge.
Even within the same SILVER 950, each surface receives light differently, changing in expression with every movement of the wrist.

The origin of this form was a whale bone found on the beach by Hiromichi Furukawa.

It is said that he remembered the shape and feel of the bone in his hand, and shaped it by relying on the tactile impression it left behind rather than accurately reproducing it from drawings.

Bone formed in nature is neither perfectly straight nor uniformly curved.
That irregularity is not overly refined, but preserved in the jewelry as soft curves and sharp ridges.

The material is SILVER 950.

With BOLD’s substantial volume, the finished piece conveys even the weight and coolness of the silver itself.
As it is worn, fine scratches and a sheen develop on the surface, and its expression gradually changes according to how each person uses it.

These are not simply mirror images: even the curve following the wrist and the direction of the ridge are designed according to the side on which the bangle is worn.
