Even if our dreams and thoughts fly far away, our roots remain deep in the earth. Smells, colors, melodies, holidays, prayers, Saturday visits to my grandparents' Kibbutz (community), scenes from my childhood all emerge in fragments, and I try to piece together the fragments of memory. A mixture of emotions such as tears of longing, a sense of belonging, a sense of foreignness, and disconnection from society play a part in the creation of this collection.
